Hindu Kids Camp

TERMS, CONDITIONS, AND DISCLAIMERS

 

The following terms, conditions, and disclaimers relate to your child’s/children's participation in any of the Hindu Kids Camp events which are conducted by Hindu Students Association (hereafter “HSA”). These terms and conditions are relevant to all of Hindu Kids Camp’s activities, including but not limited to discussions, icebreakers, games, crafts, and meals.

 

By checking the box labeled “I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to the Terms and Conditions as described on the registration page” and typing in your name as your electronic signature, you (the parent/legal guardian) signify your acceptance of and obligation to these Terms, Conditions, and Disclaimers.

 

Event Information

When: Saturday, April 20, 2019

Where: UT Campus (building details announced later)

When: 9:30am-3:00pm (check-in at 9:30)

Hosts

Hindu Kids Camp is hosted by Hindu Students Association.

 

Cost

The registration fee, which includes lunch, a t-shirt, and all activities during Hindu Kids Camp, is $16.00 until the registration deadline of April 6th, 2019 and must be paid in full online for Hindu Kids Camp by April 20, 2019. As soon as the Parent/Legal Guardian registers for Hindu Kids Camp on the website, he/she becomes responsible for the registration fee.

 

Registration

HSA reserves the right to approve or reject any registrant to Hindu Kids Camp.

 

Transportation

Attendee will be responsible for transportation to and from Hindu Kids Camp.

 

Media

HSA reserves the right to take and publish pictures and videos of the attendees for future promotional purposes.

 

Cancellation

Once registered, participation is expected. If it is necessary to make a cancellation for any reason, the deadline to do so is April 6, 2019. All cancellation requests should be emailed to longhornhinducamp@gmail.com no later than the specified date above. After this date, attendance at Kids Camp 2018 is absolutely expected. If, for any serious reason, a cancellation is necessary after April 6, 2019, please email longhornhinducamp@gmail.com. Your communication in such cases is greatly appreciated.

 

Complaints

Any complaints with Hindu Kids Camp administration should be handled privately, in writing, and emailed to longhornhinducamp@gmail.com.

 

Attendee Conduct

 

General Conduct

HSA requires all attendees to be respectful to our staff, location hosts, and other attendees throughout Hindu Kids Camp, even during non-scheduled downtime and breaks. HSA reserves the right to ask the attendee and/or his/her guests to leave the discussion rooms and Hindu Kids Camp immediately should he/she be deemed rude or uncooperative.  In such a case, the attendee’s registration fees for Hindu Kids Camp will NOT be reimbursed under any circumstances. Additionally, HSA reserves the right to ban the attendee from any and all future HSA events.

Fighting, harassment of other participants, and use of inappropriate, indecent, abusive, discriminatory, or threatening language or such behavior may also result in expulsion from Hindu Kids Camp.

 

Safety Rules

Attendees must abide by all safety rules and instructions given by the Hindu Kids Camp Coordinators.

 

Food and Drinks

Hindu Kids Camp will serve only lacto ovo vegetarian food (may contain milk and/or eggs). If the attendee has any dietary restrictions, he/she must indicate them on the Hindu Kids Camp registration form.

 

Property

Bringing expensive materials, such as jewelry and cameras, to Hindu Kids Camp is not recommended, and such property is the sole responsibility of the attendee.

 

Participating in Hindu Kids Camp Activities

Except for a valid medical reason and/or an alternate assignment, attendees are expected to participate in all scheduled programs and activities.

 

Leaving Hindu Kids Camp

No attendees may leave the Hindu Kids Camp until it is officially concluded except with the express permission of the Hindu Kids Camp Coordinators.

Liability Waiver

While we take every possible measure to ensure safety of all Attendees at Hindu Kids Camp, we cannot control every circumstance. The attendee is legally responsible for his/her safety and any belongings and agrees to, and will be held legally liable for, the following statements:

 

          I, the willing Attendee of Hindu Kids Camp, hereby accept all risk to my health and of my injury or death that may result from traveling to/from or participating in Hindu Kids Camp, and I hereby release HSA and HSA’s officers, volunteers, sponsors, and representatives from any and all liability to me, my personal representatives, estate, heirs, and next of kin and assign for any and all claims and causes of action for loss of or damage to my property and for any and all illness or injury to my person, including my death, that may result from or occur during my travel to/from or my participation at Hindu Kids Camp, whether caused by negligence of HSA, officers, volunteers, representatives, or otherwise.  Under no circumstances will HSA or its assigns be held liable for my injury, death, or any loss or damage of my personal belongings resulting from my participation in Hindu Kids Camp. Should I require emergency medical treatment as a result of accident or illness arising during my travel to/from or my participation in Hindu Kids Camp, I consent to such treatment. I acknowledge and I agree to be financially responsible for any medical or legal bills that may be incurred as a result of emergency medical treatment. I will notify HSA verbally and in writing if I am at any time injured prior to, during, or after Hindu Kids Camp in my participation or if I have medical conditions about which emergency medical personnel should be informed; however, I understand that HSA is not legally obligated to act on that information in any way or to provide any medical service whatsoever to me. I agree that if I have any medical or psychological conditions that may hamper me from fully and healthfully participating in Hindu Kids Camp, I will notify HSA in writing and that HSA retains the right to ask that I not participate in portions of or the entirety of Hindu Kids Camp. 

 

To be clear: You, the Attendee, alone are responsible and accountable for your decisions, behaviors, actions and the results in your business and in your personal life, and by your participation in the Hindu Kids Camp, you agree not to attempt to hold HSA liable for any decisions, behaviors, actions or results that you make or experience in your business or in your personal life due to your participation in Hindu Kids Camp at any time under any circumstance.

Review and Jurisdiction

These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. The Attendee agrees that any dispute that arises out of or relates to these Terms, Conditions, and Disclaimers will be resolved via legally binding arbitration in the State of Texas at a time and location convenient to HSA. If any of these Terms, Conditions, or Disclaimers are found unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision will be considered severable from the remaining terms of use, and it will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
